2020: Volunteer @ Esplanade

  • Gained interpersonal skills by encouraging visitors to join the programmes

  • Learnt more about volunteer management structures and approaches Esplanade has for their volunteers.

Escort to assist beneficiaries

  • Learnt to manage volunteers better due to Esplanade's good volunteer management, and learnt how to serve society better through acts of kindness.

2017: VIA Performance @ KTPH

Performer for the patients at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

  • Gave an empathetic perspective on how the arts and others' talents can be used as ways to make people feel better and connect communities.

2019: Willing Hearts Singapore

Kitchen and packing work for food to the less fortunate. This experience allowed me to be motivated to keep giving back to the community. 

2019: Pangdemonium

Front-Of-House member:

  • Selling the information book

  • Facilitating post-surveys of the show.

  • Enhanced my entrepreneurship skills as I had to communicate with strangers, which allowed me to become more confident in my interpersonal skills.

2017-2018: VIA @ Swami Home

I performed and interacted with the elderly through conversations and games.

  • ​Learnt how to organise games and events

  • Interact with the elderly through conversations, being patient and have a receptive approach of conversation.

2011-2014: Brownies visit the Old Folks Home

I started volunteering since young in primary school, engaging in activities such as:

  • Facilitating conversations with the elderly

  • Perform and play games with them.

  • Learnt to be an empathetic member of the community and use my talents to good use. This developed my interpersonal skills and confidence to perform and lead games.
